It's our first Wedding Anniversary!

Happy Wedding Anniversary Mahal! Thank you for a wonderful year. I love you!

The reasons why I love you

we often ask each other on why can't we think of concrete reasons why we have this so much love. well, i just think that there's an endless list of them so we can't think of the ultimate one. since we are celebrating our first anniversary as a married couple, let me give you a virtual gift that will make you realize how much you made me complete. the reasons why i love you, since you're always asking me about it, here are some of them! =D

... i love you because i met you on a very special day, Christmas! =)
... i love you because the first phone call you made was to greet me Happy New Year, it was midnight of the new year, 1998
... i love you because our first date was when you asked me to accompany you to the chuch and offer some prayers, that was your birthday
... i love you because you asked me to be your girlfriend on the right place and the right time, my hometown, the day after my birthday
... i love you because you always make me feel oh so special and important all the time
... i love you because you can manage to stay on the phone with me who knows how long from night until morning is up
... i love you because you tell me everything and you never keep secrets, just "white lies" which were all understandable, hahah!
... i love you because i can tell you everything. from family issues, to work related issues, issues with friends or other people, even our own issues.
... i love you because you listen to me.
... i love you because with us, there's always a story to tell
... i love you because you can drive 24/7 and still bring us home safe.
... i love you because i can go crazy on food from shomai to pizza and even manage to eat all of 'em inside the movie house with you
... i love you because you are proud of me, us, our family, and our life
... i love you because you sleep with a unique attire, hahaha!
... i love you because you never forget to put down the visor everytime i get in the car and the sun is up
... i love you because you always give me the ultimate body massage ever
... i love you because you are the one who change my clothes even if i'm asleep, anytime i forget it since i'm dead tired from work
... i love you because you're the one who puts lotion on my feet eveytime i forgot to, and on my back since i cannot reach it
... i love you because we always have lots of fun everytime we share the shower. wink*
... i love you because you always insist to wash the dishes and do the laundry because you wanted my hands to be oh so perfect all the time, hahah, this one's funny.
... i love you because nothing compares the way you touch my hand and face, anytime you just wanted to, out of no reason
... i love you because you never get tired of me, where it seems like you just can't get enough of me
... i love you because you spoil me, heheh.
... i love you because you make me crave for more of the coffee/frappuccino you yourself made
... i love you because you're the most georgeous barista i've met in my entire life! =)
... i love you because we laugh together, we sing together, we share a life together, we dream together.
... i love you because for you, nothing's more important than what nianne and i want
... i love you because you have given me the greatest gift a woman can have, an adorable child
... i love you because you gave me the life that i want, i wanted, and always wanted
... i love you because you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with me
... and most of all, i love you because you are who you are, a god's gift, the father of my child, my destiny, my love. everytime i share with you is a reason to live, dream, and be happy. i am so honored to call you my husband ... happy 1st wedding anniversary to us, and i love you again. (",)

there's a whole lot more, but we'll save the others for the next years ... =)

blog week 141 (part 2)

Carlo and Nicole lucky @ 7!
carlo and i had been in-love for seven years now. we celebrated our anniversary of being together last sunday, july 23, yes, i actually said "i love you too" to him a day after my birthday! =) well, seven blessed years have been and we got forevermore to go mahal! still counting! i love you ...

Mr. & Mrs. Cadiz watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith. =)
we watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith last sunday. it's a good thing the movie's still being shown in SM fairview so we got to see it. three letters to describe the film, HOT! the movie, the story, the concept, the production, the locations, the scenes, and the actors are really hot! we enjoyed it, even nianne did! it's basically a story about two people, of the same field of work, who share the same secrets of who they really are, who had met, fell in-love, got married, tried to kill each other, but had chosen to just stay beside each other in the end, all because of the oh so called love! =) cute! i really thought that it will be an "action/suspense movie", but the story just surprisingly revolves and focused on the problem of the two as husband and wife. it was so true. three things: communication is the number one factor to make things work. being true to each other (since they actually have tons of secrets from each other) is the key to a so called commitment that both of you should share, and lastly, take it from me guys, a happy sex life is all it takes to keep everything all in place, hahahah!

My dad is back!
after a year and a half of spending time working on helicopters and driving in the desert, my dad is back home for a vacation. thanks for the necklace dad! mwah! outing na tayo! heheh.

blog week 141

as usual as it is, mommy goddess is stucked at the kitchen, was in the grocery store for three straight days, and was forced to cook around 3 kilos of baked macaroni, hay... all of these on our birthday week. if you guys are gonna ask me for a wish for my birthday, i have always said that i really wanted a day-off! a real one! i was really planning to just spend an entire day at the salon, pampering my hair and nails, have a massage of some sort, but that thing was just re-scheduled for next week, hay. how i wish!

YOURS TRULY JUST TURNED 22 ...
belated happy birthday to me! i just turned 22 three days ago. hay, i dunno, i've always wanted to be 25, i was even pretending to be one, heheh. but really, i think that this year will be different. i really feel that something more special will happen, and that more blessings will be coming, and i'm just oh so thankful to still be here after 22 years of life. good luck to the coming days of being 22, and good luck to the coming years. (",)

OUR PRINCESS IS NOW 6!
all of you guys know that nianne, my daughter, and i have the same birthday, it's cool, and funny, hahah! i remember that it was around 8pm july 21st, six years ago, when my tummy starts to have this weird pain and all that. i was really telling myself that ... this is a false alarm ... this is still not it ... hello! i was like all prepared for a birthday bash the next day so bare with my reactions, hahah. well, then, around 10:10 in the morning, i gave birth to the most precious princess in the world, nianne carla! come to think that she's six now, hay. time is just so fast, so fast that i got to realize, she's already in grade school. i just wish her all the best. we love you sweetie! mwah!

A WEEK OF GOING TO THE GROCERY, COOKING, BLOWOUT AND FOOD!
i was in the grocery store for like three days last week. by the time i was about to cook and prepare some food, i just remember something that i forgot to buy the last time, hay. well, aside from that, i was like living in the kitchen for three consecutive days. i had to prepare some baked macaroni carlo and i gave to our respective colleagues as a "birthday blowout" (as they call it, heheh). then i had to prepare food for nianne's classmates for her simple party at their school, baked macaroni also and some fried drumsticks, not to mention that i had to pack some candies and stuff on loot bags as giveaways for the kids, and finally, for a dinner with our family on our birthday, we did a seafood motif, so we had: steamed tilapia in garlic- butter sauce, some calamares, shrimp with mixed vegetables and quail eggs, we had pancit bihon and some green fried rice (something i learned from grilla, heheh), then my mom brought some crispy pata and ice cream, and my mom-in-law brought a barel of chicken from kfc. hay, i'm not stressed for this week, but i'm definitely tired! thank God our birthday celebrations are all over. good luck for the next year, i definitely know now what to do to make things easier, hahaha!

THANK YOU
thank you to all of you guys who remembered me/my birthday. and those who took some part of their precious time to greet me, text me, call me, email me, send me a message and even testified thru friendster and my blog, and to our dear family who were there for our simple birthday celebration. thank you. thank you for the presents as well, especially those from my mahal, my mom, my dad, my lolo, and my mom-in-law, thank you very much! mwah!

AND AFTER ALL THESE, I GOT SICK ... ^sigh^
what a great way to start another year of life, i got sick and was trying to survive with a severe asthma attack, a clogged nose and some dry cough that is really hard to tollerate! i really think that i actually am experiencing their so called "pasma". because i was literally on fire, infront of the stove, cooking the whole day friday for 10 hours straight, then i took a cold bath afterwards, maybe that's why. then the colds were due to the allergic rhinitis i have for three weeks now, and then here comes the cough followed by the asthma, hay, whattalife! carlo brought me to the hospital on sunday night, i can't breathe at all and i have fever already. the doctor gave me two doses of nebules right away, who had diagnosed that my left lung is no longer functioning during those times, no air whatsoever, so i was like using just my right lung to breathe, cool, heheh. i also had my eye irritation checked and was given some medicines to take again, hay. i was advised to take a 2 day rest, but then i decided to just come to work, since i think staying at home, in bed, will just make these feelings worse.

so, here i am, as i write this post i feel better and better each time, heheh. till next week! (",)

blog week 140

hey guys, it's been a very stressful week as usual, our birthday's like in four days time and i still have to figure out the best way to make all of our plans fit into our schedule. gosh. i'm kinda getting used to not having a helper in the house, having just 3 hours of sleep a day, and of spending my restdays with nianne during the first half of the night apparently. hay, i'm good. =)

WHAT THE H*LL IS HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY

last week have been a week of worries for us who is actually woking in Makati! there's a huge amount of people scattered all over ayala avenue, asking our president to resign whatever. without the consideration that aside from the mess they create each day, they're actually killing the businesses here, and gave us a hard time travelling for work. i had to meet up with joi each day, and take the cab from buendia to the office to avoid all the people protesting in ayala. hay. what else is coming in the future!

carlo @ 25!

well, after breaking some of my nails, burning some skin, wrapping a hundred pieces of shanghai, slicing several vegetables and stuff, cooking the whole day, preparing the house and all that, carlo's party was finally over. hay. i can breathe now, hehe.

the last time carlo had a "real" celebration for his birthday, i guess, was around 5 years ago, before we had nianne. it's been a while and simply because we've been oh so busy with school, raising nianne and some other issues we had before, we always fail to celebrate.

this year, carlo turned 25. and since we thought that it's like a quarter of a century of his life, somewhat like a silver anniversary of life or something, we decided to throw out a simple dinner party. that day was the first time for some of our family and friends to see our place, and is ofcourse the first time for us to have a blowout in our home, of our own expense, and his first birthday with me being his WIFE =). it was really stressful and tiring but fun.

everything of course started on the planning and preparing. we thought that the food should be foods that carlo loves the most. so we had his all time favorite lumpiang shanghai, we had tacos, lechon kawali, crispy pata, his mom's classic spaghetti and our family's own recipe of menudo. then we decided on who to invite and on how are we going to make them fit in our little home, hahah! well, we improvised a dining table by using their pingpong table, and we borrowed some monoblock chairs from my in-laws house and our auntie ninang lizzie. we really planned to rent a videoke machine, but since we weren't able to schedule it early enough for the party, the karaoke concept was out of the picture.

it was really just a simple party, we basically just hosted our visitor's dinner that night, hahah. carlo was really surprised when i came out of the house singing happy birthday with a round sanzrival in my hand and a candle for him to blow, he said it was cute. eat, eat, eat, some picture taking before the visitors left, and then carlo and some of his friends just make kwento over some red wine and strong ice beer until around 2am.

thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us, you guys really made carlo so happy, feeling oh so special that day. and thanks for the gifts too! =)

and to you mahal, happy birthday, and enjoy the next 25 years (and more) of your life with me and nianne ofcourse. (",)

blog week 139

this is the busiest week i've had so far this year. the highlight's actually the 25th birthday bash of my hubby dear, but everything was definitely not as easy as i thought it would be, hay!

i need a body massage, a hair spa, a foot scrub and a bubble bath under two shower heads, i feel so stressed.

still looking for a househelp and yet have decided if we'll get a school service for nianne or not. oh please ...

A REQUEST THAT WAS GRANTED

i actually requested for a schedule change, since i find my 10pm to 7am shift too late for me to be able to prepare nianne for school in the morning. i went straight to our team manager and asked him to change my schedule to 8pm to 5am, and guess what, i got it after a week, lakas! hahah! i'm just oh so grateful to him that even if he's still single and that he don't have a child yet, he understood my issue. thanks mike! ur the best! =)

THE MOST AWESOME STARBUCKS STORE I'VE BEEN SO FAR

i finally got a chance to visit carlo at his work in STARBUCKS commonwealth avenue. the store was really cool, i mean, wow! it's definitely the most awesome starbucks store i've been so far. tho my colleage sybil said it's 2nd to the most awesome for her and that i need to see STARBUCKS in intramuros manila and then tell, well, let's see. but their store was really cool, it's spacious and well lighted and the ambiance was really relaxing and all that, and of course mostly, carlo is the one who'll do my frappuccino and he do it best. hahah! there's just one word to describe what he's doing that time i went there ... petiks! omigod, i was really teasing him coz' he's just playing on the stickers you guys need to get that backpack, well, yes, he's just playing with those stickers, sticking them on tissues and stuff, hay! i just felt oh so proud of him after seeing him operate the espresso machine and how he actually interact with the customers, it's funny and he's really cute, hahah! i'll definitely visit him often now, and next time, i'll make sure he's not aware of me being there, hahah!

our birthday's in 10 days time. still deciding on wether we'll gonna host a dinner for our family at our place or if we'll just gonna invite them and eat out. we'll be bringing food for nianne's classmates and i'll be bringing food for my officemates if time will allow me tho. good luck to more stress ...

What Kind of Girl Am I?

Monday, July 04, 2005

blog week 138

just another week of stress and distress. still in the process of looking for a helper that is yet to come, still on the process of adjustment with regard to activities in life, still missing my husband who is some kinda formulated to being a slave to the espresso machine, hay.

MY DAUGHTER IS NOT A DOLL!

i really wish that we have a choice. since we still haven't found a helper for the house yet, and nianne can't be left alone at night until carlo arrive by 4am, we decided to just bring nianne to my in-laws house and let her spend the night there for a couple of days. we were forced to just ask one of their drivers to fetch us around 8pm, bring all of nianne's stuff for school and to just let her came from that place before school for two days. it was really hard for me at first, since leaving her alone there, even if it's with our in-laws, it's really different since carlo and i weren't used to it, that not even one of us were with her, but do we have a choice. i really felt guilty about the situation, my daughter's not a freakin' doll for crying out loud! we're just oh so lucky enough to have a mommy edith and to have almost everyone in the house cooperate with our current situation. i just wish that this thing will stop and that everything will be back to normal soon.

FIVE DAYS TO GO

it's five days to go before carlo's 25th birthday bash. it's a good thing that i've started the preparation, i have bought 70% of the things needed for the food to be prepared already, but still there are lots of things needed to be done. first, we haven't made arrangements with the videoke machine rental, as well as the tables and chairs to be used, and we haven't informed most of the visitors we're expecting to come, we haven't setup the lighting we need outside the house, and i still need to finish all the stuff to prepare the house for the big day. and do you know why i really think that all of these are big tasks, it's because i'll be doing them all by myself! good luck! well, not until we have found a helper soon enough before sunday. hay!

'till here guys, i'm hungry ...
