The DepartedS
It's the time of the year again ...
Where some people are excited about since it's a holiday or sometimes, a so called long weekend. Where some people are all headed to their respective provinces. Where you'll see a lot of people on the cemetery. Where some people are busy doing some cleaning or make-over on their loved ones' graves. Where some people are busy taking advantage of the season for a simple business, whether it's selling food, candles, flowers, or cleaning tombstones. Where you might see one of your old classmate or your long lost friend. Where flowers are double and sometimes triple than their regular prices. Where candles are all over the place, different colors, different forms, and for some reason, they're all expensive. Where food, balloons, toys, and everything you can buy inside the cemetery are all over-priced. Where traffic in the city is unbelievable. Where you can't bring your car inside the North Cemetery. Where you can't even park your car (figuratively) near the North Cemetery. =( And a lot more things that we don't have on regular days.
It's the time of the year where we all pay respect, visit and offer some prayers to the departed ones, as part of the tradition that we all grew up with, and just because these people once became a part of our busy lives. So, no matter how we celebrate it, either the All Saint's or the All Soul's Days, the only thing that matter is we still remember them and we would like to make them feel special that day in our own way. So for all of us who will be going to these sacred places, let's just take the necessary precautions needed, bring enough food and medicine to be sure, take care of yourselves as well as those people with you and belongings. Have a nice weekend! (^_^)
