Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary!

It's been two years since the happiest day of our lives. I've been Mrs. Carlo Cadiz for two years now and loving it so much. I've been blessed with a great, loving husband and our relationship just gets better everyday. I even think that we're actually sweeter than we were eight years ago, hahahah!

This year, just because of the unpredictable weather, we were just home the whole day watching Romance Films, hahahah! We were awake the whole night of the 30th watching All About Love (yeah, sounds crap but the film was actually nice) waited until 12midnight and greeted each other Happy Anniversary! =) We slept after an hour, woke up at 6am, had breakfast and prepared Nianne for school. Then we watched Walk the Line, which was nice as well. It was based from a true "love" story by two popular singers back on the 50's and 60's. Starring Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash, and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter. After that (since we are vampires who gets sleepy during the day and the ambiance of the rain's just irresistable) we slept until before dinner time. We enjoyed my yummy beef sinigang for dinner, brought Nianne to sleep and left to see the last full show of Click at Glorietta 4. We were at the mall an hour and a half early for the LSF so we were able to stroll around and got some gifts for the birthday kids this week. Carlo was even hesitant at first, telling me "hey, it's our wedding anniversary and you still can't stop thinking of other people", hahahah!

At the movie house we saw Serena Dalrymple, the former child star, and I can really say that she's the simpliest celebrity I saw with her hair tied-up, her cotton jacket and her rubber shoes on, it's just a movie anyways and I think that she's just being her simple self. I even asked Carlo to take a picture of us and as useless, he refused and gave another one of his hillarious comments ... "wag na, tao rin yan, mabaho din ang utot nyan!" hahahah! I told you guys, if you think I'm funny, you ain't seen/heard nothin' yet, hahah!

Going back to the film, We loved it. It was actually the first time that Carlo agreed to watch a romantic comedy on a movie house (I think, hahah), and I was really happy to know that he enjoyed and loved the movie as much as I did. Adam Sandler is just The Man! He's one of the actors that I really don't get tired of watching, over and over. The story was one of a kind (well, almost), minus the "everything was just a dream in the end" concept, but I must say, they did a great job since we really didn't notice. The story was about family, how and what if there was a universal remote control who can control the entire universe and your entire life. The moral lesson of the film was just perfect for what Carlo and I are celebrating today, Family Comes First. No matter what you do, never set aside your family or worse, never let your job win over your family since family is the most important thing in the world. We all don't want to miss anything right? Even if the time comes where we no longer have our job and everything, we still got our family left so treasure them.

So us, Carlo and I, no matter how busy and sleepless our work can be, we are proud to say that we never priorotize work (or money) over our precious daughter and her needs. From being there on her first day, week, or month in school, to being there on every school program/meeting she have, to preparing her and bringing her to school, to listening to her stories and thoughts, to reading to her to bed, to giving her everything we can, to taking care of her and loving her and everything about her, whether it's good or bad, we are always there for her, she knows that and that's all that matters.

Eight years of being together, loving each other, two years of being married, and blessed with an adorable daughter, now that's what you call a happy family. Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary Mahal! =)

a homework!

Instructions:
Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like the most, then pick ten people to do the same.
Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.

1. Everything about my Family. the best husband in the world, everybody's dream daughter, a smart mom, the greatest dad, loving grandparents, a thoughtful brother, two sweet sisters, my amazing relatives and my in-laws. The people behind a successful and happy me. Life isn't just life without them. =)

2. Being with my Friends. my childhood friends, my friends from grade school, high school, college, work, and all over my entire 23 years of life, they all make me laugh, cry, be proud of who I am and what I can. They make me realize things that I sometimes don't even know about myself. It doesn't matter what we do or where we go for as long as it's with them. I'm so blessed to a have a really huge circle of friends. =)

3. Homemaking. All of it, decorating, cleaning the house, scrubbing the walls, polishing the floor, sanitizing the bathroom, living in the kitchen, washing the dishes, organizing the closet, dusting the ceiling, taking care of my husband and child, etc, etc. I'm just one of those people who's into household chores since childhood so having a family on an early age was never a problem. I love it when I get my hands dirty and tired. =)

4. Cooking. My family and friends can attest to this. I can prepare an entire full course for an occassion, I can cook for an entire day, I can cook all my life. This is one thing I can really do without feeling tired and sorry about, seriously.

5. Work. The office is like my second home and the people are like my extended family. The friendship, the love and respect people around give me is just priceless. It's really an honor to have a mother image, being called "mommy" by more or less 100 people. My work just made me go back to my old achiever self again, made me realize that it is really more fulfilling to be more than just a plain housewife, and never regret any moment of it. =)

6. Theatre and Music. I just think that I am born to be on stage. To my former teachers and classmates, go tell them why. Hahahah! And if there's really one thing that people won't be able to take away from me, aside from my education, it's my talent. Being on stage with all the the lights, the lapel, the mic, the script, the role, the performance and everything, oh how I miss all of them ...

7. Good Food/Drinks. Yes, not just food but good food. From the amazing Chocolate Buffet at the Peninsula Manila, to the yummy buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner) of Rafael's at the Holiday Inn Galleria, to pasta, pizza, calzone, anything grilled, Red Ribbon Ube Cake, Jamaican Beef Patties, Kenny Rogers Muffins, Dulcinea Churros, Yoshinoya, kebab, shawarma, palabok, french fries, fruit pies, cinnamon rolls, tacos, beef pares, muncher green peas ... ok, I can really go on ... hahahah! And again, from Strawberry w/Java Chips and Marshmallow Frappuccino, to Cinnamon Streusel Latte, to Melon Shake, to pure Orange Juice, Red Iced tea, Buko Pandan Juice, Frozen Margarita Lime, sub0, Nescafe Coffee, ice-cold water and a lot more ...

8. The NET. Email, IM, bloggin', websites, online photo albums, online shopping, and anything we can basically do online except message boards, sorry. I'm just not into making and finding friends online, it's like announcing yourself anonymously. I use the net to keep in touch with family and friends, knowing that in a way I am close to them is more than just a pleasure for me. =)

9. Shopping. Whether it's in Power Plant, Greenbelt, Glorietta, Market!Market!, Robinsons, SM Department Store, SM Hypermarket, Shopwise, Greenhills, 168, Tutuban, Divisoria Mall, Muñoz Market, and any other Tiangges or Baranggay Bazaars, and even online, sale and good buys really make me love life more! ;-P

10.Life's Blessings. God has been so good to us these past years. So I don't really have simple pleasures in life since everything that God is giving me are more that what I actually ask for, I always say that, I know. And altho I can really get everything I want when I want them, even for no reason at all, I choose not to. I would like to set an example to my daughter that happiness in life is not all about the things you can buy or get, it's all about how you were with other people, and how they see you as a person, which will reflect on the love and respect you will receive in return ...

Now, I'm taggin': Dad, Kevin, Iris, Rochelle, Ces, Aleck, Grace, Karen, Abbie and Josie!

And for those who wanted to answer as well, feel free to do so. Just leave the links of your blog on my comments box for me to see yours too! Happy posting! =)

... Gwennie dear, I'm soooo sorry ... I just saw it last night. Anyways, homework done! =) ...

Happy Rainy Birthday to Me and My Daughter!

Another year has been, and at last, the birthday party that Carlo and I has been planning since last year has come to a success. Despite the rain and shine weather that day (literally guys, it will rain for about 10 minutes and shine for about an hour, then rain again, and so on), we have more than 50 guests and the kids really enjoyed themselves even if the place was actually wet.

Nianne really had a great time. This was actually the first time that we had a "real" children's party with all the food, balloons, games and goodies for her and now she wanted to have one annually, good luck! hahah! But of course, the best part of the party she enjoyed was opening all her presents. =)

I would like to thank all the people who made this party a success. My mom-in-law who took care of the pasta we served, my mom who took care of the sorbetero which was enjoyed by all the young ones and the young once =), my mahal who actually served as my driver during the preparation and the host who took care of the guests and all their needs while I was busy with the kids and the games, my superYaya who is really wow, despite her petite body, I can't really think on where she actually got all her energy that day, running back and forth to the venue and our house, carrying all the food and stuff with her, grabe! hahah, nahawa na sa level ng energy ko, hahahah!

And of course thank you so much to all those kind people (together with their umbrellas, hahah) who attended despite the unpredictable weather, thank you so much guys. You made us realize how blessed we are having all of you as family and friends, thank you. We are just the luckiest family having a huge circle of friends with all of you on it, salamat, salamat! =)

Thank you as well to those who remembered and greeted me and my daughter that day. That altho you guys have your own busy lives, you wrote us, called us, IMd us, sent us cards, SMS, messages, testimonials, emails, etc., all of you really made this birthday celebration of ours complete, thank you.

And of course, I would like to thank our God Almighty for giving me and our family a fruitful year. All the blessings he gave us has been more than what we actually asked for, he's really great. I know that the reason behind all the rain yesterday was because it's a sign that he was giving us a better year, hahah!

Haaaaaayyyyyy ... I can now sit down, take more sleep, get back to work and give time to myself now. Tho I wasn't even able to wear earings, I wasn't able to fix mine and Nianne's hair, I wasn't even able to wear the shoes I was planning to, my nails were done so I know, I looked good on my 23rd Birthday, hahahah!

And to my daughter, who will together with my grandmother, Lola Yvonne (yes guys, all three of us have the same birthdate, it runs in the family as they say, hahah), forever share the same Birthdate Anniversary with me, I love you so much sweetie! I honestly don't mind sharing this big day, yearly with you, and I will never get tired of making you happy and giving you everything that your dad and I can, since you, in your own special and sometimes, unbelievable ways, always makes me and your dad smile, be proud that we have you as a daughter, and never regret any of the seven years that we have been with you. We love you so much and you'll always be our little princess ...

Happy Birthday to me and my daughter! And again, thank you so much everyone!

I remember, after the party, mahal said ...
"ang galing mo mahal, pwede ka na talaga magtayo ng events organization"
hah hah hah hah!

Happy Birthday Mahal!

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky

I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

23 things I want @ 23!

Ha! Ha! Since my birthday is coming next week, and I've been pre-occupied with work and preparations for some events this month, like carlo's birthday, nianne's birthday, plans for our 2nd wedding anniversary and a lot more at the side, I just wanted to think about myself for a few hours and think of the things I actually want. We'll since I'm turning 23, here are 23 things I want for birthday... And altho I can technically get 'em all myself ... maybe I just wanted to give you guys an idea! hah hah hah!

So, to my dad, mom, bro, family and friends from here and abroad who regularly reads my blog, you guys don't need to ask me anymore, they're all here ... well, almost! ;-P
(in no particular order)

1) Sony Ericsson Z800i - since I just lost my lovely P910i two months ago ... I decided to just get this. The problem is, I can't find a brand new one, or even a second hand which is still in very good condition. So if there's anyone who can show me where to get one or buy me one, heheh, kidding! Just go tell me guys before I end up having the razr v3i (which is my second option) next month. =)

2) Samsung Digital Camcorder (SC-M110S) - I love this one! It's small, light, and it's a video recorder, voice recorder, MP3 player, still photo camera, and web cam all in one! cool! ... dad ... if this ain't the one that you already got me, that's no problem ... hahah! =)

3) Sony Cyber-Shot Digital Still Camera (DSC-T7/S) - this is the coolest digital camera that I ever saw and held so far. 5.1mp is just enough for me, it's so thin that i can almost break it in half (hahah), and the screen size is just perfect, love it! =)

4) MAC G4 iBook - I just hope that the 15" version of it is still available. I heard that MAC now only manufactures the 13' ones and it's black, I didn't like it. =(

5) The Yoga Booty Ballet Workout Program - since I miss dancing, I need some exciting exercise and I find belly dancing boring already, I really wanted to try this one. So if there's anyone who can tell me if there's some place where they offer this workout, or if you can enroll me na rin, hahah! Or if you can get me the DVD set, mwah! =)

6) DVDs - a dvd copy of any of my favorite movies which I do not have a copy of yet (titanic, armaggedon, legally blonde 1&2, charlie's angel's 1&2, and I am Sam), or any of my favorite TV shows (season 2 of the following: desperate housewives, lost and prison break). I promise to lend them all to you after I finished watching 'em, and oh, pirated ones will do! =)

7) Magazine Subsciption - One year (six months' fine :)) subscription for any of my favorite magazines: Good Housekeeping, Mega, and Preview Magazines. I got some of their old issues so in case you need them for reference, they're all open for everyone. =)

8) Spa/Salon Packages - any spa or salon will do, I can try any treatment, I will surely appreciate any package. hahah! =)

9) Max Factor Nailfinity Nail Polish - these are just the most gorgeous polishes ever landed to my nails. And since I only use either red, black or french tips, you can give me any of those colors (including the colorless) or the whole set. =)

10) Muncher Greenpeas - yes, I always crave for these. I consider them as my healthy junk food. So if you can give me a supply of them, wow, that'll be a treat for Carlo and me! haha!

11) Potato Chips with Adobo Flakes from Top your Chips - they used to have a stall in SM North EDSA near the Cinemas on the food court side, but it's now replaced with some popsicle something ... I miss this ... I even go to the mall sometimes just to get them. =(

12) Starbucks Glasses - the six-piece summer collection one. It comes in three colors, yellow, orange and green (I think), and they're all inside a plastic carry-bag. The last time I saw them was summer of last year and unfortunately, Carlo don't have any idea on when will they be available again.

13) Waffle Maker - Nianne, Carlo and I just love waffles! So now I wanted to learn and make one myself at home, you can be a part of it if you can get me this, heheh. =)

14) Personalized Charm Bracelet - I want a chain bracelet, with the letters of my name as it's charm: N-I-C-O-L-E. I saw one already, even with the same name, I just didn't know where that girl actually got it. =)

15) Magic Sing (international edition) - do I really need to say why? hahahah! However, the WOW Philippines Edition is just not for me, sorry. =)

16) Foot Spa Device - I actually wear slippers 70% of the time, and I really think that my feet are just oh so exposed to all the stress, dirt and all. And since I have no time for foot spa sessions anymore (something I get for about once in three months nalang, grrrrr) I would love to treat my feet for a spa whenever I feel like it. =)

17) GoodHousekeeping Cookbooks (volumes 1&2) - I failed to get a copy of these two. I remember that they only costs around Php150 each ... tsk tsk tsk ...

18) a Beige Low-cut boots - it should be beige, low-cut/ankle high, pointed, with about 3 inches heels. I seriously couldn't find one! Get me a 9 please. =)

19) Guess Shirt - the most gorgeous shirt I saw in my entire life. which is of course, something that wasn't available locally. So cousins ... hahah!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

20) The devil wears Prada - I just think that this will be a book worth reading for. I'm curious about it so if there's anyone there who got one, can I borrow? Or since it's my big day, a pamana is much more like it! :-P

21) a car - ok, I just realized that I got tired of the daily commuting drama. so, fine! I'll eat my words now, I no longer love commuting and I'm starting to hate it! the best solution is a kia picanto! :-P

22) MYMP's cd - the two (or three, or whatever) disc package one. I just love their music!

23) an electronic toothbrush - a nice, heavyduty, rechargeable electronic toothbrush! We already tried the once from watsons, nianne just broke it and it eats battery like there is no tomorrow! gosh! We just need one that's heavyduty and is NOT battery-operated. =)

Well, tho I got tons of things more in mind, I'm just turning 23 so 23 things should be enough for now, hahah!

Call me pathetic, I don't care! It's my birthday, it's my blog, and I'm entitled for wishes. =) I'll post another wishlist after my birthday. And I promise to put "unpathetic" things this time. hahah!

Happy Birthday Super Goddess! mwah! =)
